Get Those Iowan A$ses Off Those Iowan Seats!

Things started looking up once we got to Des Moines, which we insist on pronouncing Des Moines, with the S’s. We knew there were still tickets available to Saturday night’s Springsteen show so we decided just to wing it once we got there and go to the box office. We got to town around 6:00, located the venue, pulled in to the closest hotel and booked a room. We threw our stuff in the room and walked to the box office where we scored just-released tickets in the 3rd row in the section right next to the stage. If nothing else, we do seem to have the gift of scoring excellent concert tickets. We were in one of the “friends and family” sections reserved for the band members’ families. The concert was exactly what we needed to let loose and get the blood flowing. It was an excellent, high-spirited show, with Bruce and an 18 piece band. The Iowans were having a great time, especially after Bruce exhorted them to “Get those Iowan a$ses off those Iowan seats!!”
