Grand Canyon of Yellowstone

Sunday we hiked around, into, and on top of the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. The Yellowstone River runs through this geological chasm with two waterfalls. The pictures you most likely see of this park are of the Lower Falls here. Outstanding. The trails lead you right to the brink of the falls, where you can look right over the edge.

I wanna go back!!! :-) I remember getting off the plane in Salt Lake City in early June 4 years ago and freezing in 30 degree weather and only having one sweatshirt (it was 70 when we left Maryland). We hiked to the top of Mt. Washburn in 3' of snow and opted for sliding part of the way back down! Hope you're having a blast. We miss you!

Lisa, I hope you are holding the camera tightly when taking these pictures..we wouldn't want you to have to relive the "Hoover Dam" experience with Tim. Miss you!
