Library Geek Alert

The Seattle Central Library has a visual display of information at the reference desk. They track what call numbers of the books being checked out and create a dynamic live display of those subjects so patrons can see what is popular up to the second. Cool!

Well, there goes my pepperoni & pineapple theory of olde......I'll now go with either the Belgian waffle or the Raisin Bran. Three cheers for the decisive!

Facinating stuff Tim. Now, are you guys visiting a library in each city you go to?

So far we have only visited a couple of libraries, and mainly to steal their internet access. Ann--we're waiting for the McAllister/McKeown tour of the country to visit most of the libraries.

Not too many libraries on this trip. We've visited a few, but Seattle had the best. Dewey Decimal System, coffee in the lobby, and homeless people on the Internet. This truely is democracy in action, the public library.
