Hello, Cleveland!

We're starting to feel far away now. We are in the wild and spooky township of Cleveland, Ohio. There are odd people here, with strange ways. They call soda "pop" and they often will say please and thank you for no reason whatsoever. An unusual character even had tattoos on his face and bottle caps in his ears. Yes, I think we saw the world's most tattooed man in our hotel lobby!

The weather is taking on a distinctly summer feel - sunny, warm, bug-filled, and steamy. The Rock Hall was impressive, but a distinct lack of Springsteenia and U2 (except for the cars hanging from the ceiling - see the pictures below).

We're off to Chicago to visit with Matt, my librarian friend, mentor, junket pal, and Thai cook extrodinaire. Maybe I'll even stop in at K&E, if we get there before closing time. (See, I haven't forgotten where I work...yet.)
